How It Works
Broadcast and Accessibility
The lessons, developed in line with the Lagos State Government-approved Scheme of Work and the WAEC & NECO syllabus, will be broadcast over 26 weeks on Lagos Television and social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter). Each 30-minute episode will also be archived online, providing permanent access for students.
Commissioner Alli-Balogun noted, The lessons after broadcast on television are archived permanently on social media platforms, enabling students to revisit missed lessons or reinforce key concepts.
Collaborative Learning Environment
The programme encourages student interaction through dedicated forums where they can ask questions, provide feedback, and collaborate with peers and teachers. This approach fosters mutual support and active learning, empowering students to excel in their studies.
The idea is to get learners energizing one another to improve performance, the commissioner explained.
Why It Matters
The Eko Learners’ Support programme is not just about exam preparation—it’s about creating a culture of lifelong learning. By leveraging technology and expert teaching, the initiative ensures that every student, regardless of their location or resources, has access to quality education.
The program builds on the success of EKOEXCEL, a transformative initiative aimed at improving primary education through technology.
