Lagos, Nigeria – A new era is dawning at one of Africa’s premier hubs for innovation and creativity. Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), the continent’s largest innovation center based in Lagos, has appointed Ojoma Ochai as its new Managing Director.
Ochai takes over from former CEO Bosun Tijani, who recently exited CcHUB to accept an appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy. By all accounts, Tijani leaves enormous shoes to fill after leading CcHUB’s meteoric rise over the past decade.
Yet Ochai seems ready to take CcHUB to new heights. With nearly 20 years expertise building Nigeria’s creative and tech sectors, she has long been a pioneer empowering artists, entrepreneurs and activists to drive social change. Most recently, Ochai served as Managing Partner of CcHUB’s Creative Economy Practice – recognized globally for incubating groundbreaking solutions from African creators.
Her visionary leadership earned resounding endorsements from CcHUB’s Board. “Ojoma’s commitment to achieving change through innovation perfectly embodies CcHUB’s ethos,” said Chairperson Funke Opeke. “She will no doubt take our organization to new frontiers in fostering prosperity across Africa.”
As Ochai takes charge, CcHUB seems poised to write its next chapter. Expect strengthened partnerships, expanded reach across Africa and even deeper community ties. For a hub that has already achieved so much, Ochai brings energy and ideas to fuel CcHUB’s next level of growth. Just what the Africa’s innovation ecosystem needs.
